What is something about yourself that you wish others knew?

Each week we share a journal prompt that we ask our clients to reflect on.

Why is journaling so beneficial?

  • It Reduces Stress
  • Improves Immune Function
  • Keeps Memory Sharp
  • Boosts Mood
  • Strengthens Emotional Resilience.

Allow yourself time this week to reflect and journal on the prompt below.  This week we are focusing on the benefits of Vulnerability.

What is something about yourself that you wish others knew?

In reflecting on this for myself if there was one thing that I wish others knew about me it would be that… I struggle too!

People see me as a positive, driven, focused person and they at times assume that things just come easy for me. The fact is, I have worked so hard to be the person that I am today. In the past, I was the BIGGEST procrastinator! I would put everything off.  Whether it be paying bills or making a work phone call…if it slightly overwhelmed I put it off! Because why not…That will make it easier!  RIGHT???

I had to train myself to respond differently. I had to completely overhaul that bad habit. Sometimes it creeps back in. I’m in a health coaching mentorship right now. I at times feel overwhelmed by the challenge of what’s expected of me. By the caliber of who my colleagues are. By the amount of knowledge, I need to digest and process and be tested on! The tendency could be to put it off.  However, I am working on continuing to strengthen that healthy habit.  I set the intention, I block out the time and I say to myself…..Cowboy up!!! That’s Colorado lingo for “man up”. And I just work on that over and over and over.

Thanks for taking the time to allow me to be vulnerable and share my thoughts and feelings.  Now you do YOU!

Share if you’re comfortable…What is your best kept secret that’s dying to get out?

Remember there is STRENGTH in VULNERABILITY!
