Amie is amazing, she is a lifesaver, a motivator, an encourager, a realist, I can't say enough positive things about Amie, Summit Health and Fitness or the program, but I wanted to start with her.
As I said above, Amie is amazing. She has gone above and beyond what I would have expected. She has helped me through some very stressful times, it's not just about the performance in the gym, being strong, and eating certain foods to her. That is also not what the program is about. She genuinely cares about me as a person and everything else is a bonus to her. In my opinion, and from what I have experienced with her, she was worried about my stress level, my sleep habits, how I feel, the quality of my food, my ability to accept when I get in the red zone (her clients know what this is), and other important factors around being healthy. She is always available and responds to my questions, she celebrates the wins with me and constantly keeps encouraging me to keep going. She is like my mom of healthy living, she believes in me I can confide in her and she will listen and help if and when she can.
The program is the best I have been in, you get one on one coaching and support from someone who takes the time to get to know you and your lifestyle and customizes the program to you, you do not have to change to fit into the program. Amie genuinely cares about you as a person and you can definitely feel that. It’s helpful to talk and share ideas, your struggles and your wins with her. The program support is great, I would recommend utilizing the facebook page when searching for tips or you just need to vent about something. This also allows all of us to help others and to get the help we may need. I think of it as I have a support system whenever I need it no matter where I am at.
I would recommend this to anyone looking to live a healthier lifestyle. We are all different people and we all have different goals. This program is specific to each of us thus allowing us to all reach our individual goals while learning, supporting and helping others. Where else can you get that?
Summit Health and Fitness have really opened my eyes to the importance of nutrition and how big of a role it plays in your everyday life. When I first started CrossFit I worked out consistently but didn't notice the changes my body is making now that I have my nutrition dialed in. The coaches at the gym always said nutrition is a huge part of being healthy and moving well which I believed but didn’t fully realize how much of a difference it made until I started implementing it in my everyday life.
I would recommend working with Amie at Summit Health because she can change your life. I have to say that her enthusiasm for nutrition and fitness is inspiring and contagious! Her knowledge and ability to share her knowledge in an understandable fashion is amazing. She is quick to respond to questions and always has helpful suggestions if you are frustrated or struggling. If she doesn’t know the answer to a question, she does the research and gets back to you as soon as she can. She is constantly learning and sharing new things with all of her clients. Amie genuinely cares about each of her clients and it shows during the weekly check-ins and the text messages or emails she sends.
I started to notice my energy levels and how after school while doing the ‘mom-thing’ I didn’t want to take a nap, I wasn’t snapping at the kids... I began to feel balanced. Balanced is not a word I have used in the last decade of “having baby hormonal changes”.
Eating enough and the correct proportions of macros have made all the difference in my workouts and emotionally. I feel stronger, I can still eat chocolate, peanut butter and drink beer. I don’t feel like eating is a chore or hard work, it’s not about restrictions it’s about balance.
Summit Health and Fitness have helped me realize food is fuel and that matters in how I want to live my life. The best part is that my children are watching and learning too!
