AIP = Autoimmune Protocol

I’ve had lots of questions about what Chads been doing lately and what the AIP diet is.

The AIP diet stands for Autoimmune Protocol.

It’s designed for those with an autoimmune disease or symptoms of such. The goal is to eliminate any food that may cause inflammation and allow the body the opportunity to heal. It removes inflammatory foods (as shown in the pic), gut irritants, and immune stimulants for a minimum of 30 days. After the elimination period, foods are reintroduced one by one to see if the body has healed and can tolerate them again.

Chad is on the tail end and it’s been a rewarding and challenging experience. It’s not over as the reintroduction phase will take a while but symptoms have virtually disappeared and sleep is almost back to normal so although tough it was worth it by far.

Food can be medicine and it just shows how quality Whole Foods can truly nourish and heal!

Although his macros are set different than we would typically he’s still tracking in order to maintain lean muscle and mitigate potential weight loss.
