“I started working with Megan in November. I was no stranger to counting macros or tracking my food, but I had never worked 1-on-1 with someone before, and it was such a great experience! I learned a lot about portion sizes as I tracked and measured the first few weeks, and how to fuel my body in a way that truly benefited it!
I have PCOS and the last few years was steadily gaining weight. I knew that losing some lbs would be super beneficial in terms of my PCOS – and one of my big goals at first was to lose enough weight to be able to wear my wedding ring again (it hadn’t fit for over a year!).
I am currently down about 20 lbs since November, and was able to start wearing my wedding ring again in Feb/March – which was so exciting!!
I have come to love having boundaries in place, in terms of food/eating – for me, that helps me find food freedom! I love not having to give up certain food groups or cut out desserts for ever – so for me, tracking my macros feels rewarding and sustainable long-term, yet also provides flexibility!
I have the tendency to struggle with stress/emotional eating, but macros have helped me set appropriate boundaries, which have helped me stay on track with my goals and fueling my body well in a sustainable way. I am not perfect, by any means, and still have my moments/days, but overall, I feel like having the habit of tracking macros set in place has been super helpful the last few months – it has given me a foundation for eating, even in the midst of stress and overwhelm.
I am so thankful for the direction, encouragement, and education that Megan has provided, and am excited to continue on my journey of figuring out food & exercise that is sustainable.”
