Microbiome Mash Up

 

Here is a great way to keep our gut happy & healthy!

Try the Microbiome Mash up. 

 

Step #1- Pick 10 different veggies that you don’t normally eat.  You could go to a fun market that has different fruits and veggies that we don’t typically see in the grocery stores. You don’t need a ton of each just one.

Step #2- Peel prep and clean the veggies so they are ready to enjoy.

Step #3- Shred or blend or food process them up into tiny chunks of gut health goodness!

Step #4- Once you have all 10 veggies prepped grab some small baggies, containers or my personal favorite ice cube trays. Combine all 10 veggies and then portion out into ice cube trays and freeze.

Step #5- Now add to your smoothies, soups, sauces or stir fry as often as possible.  Just add one cube.  We don’t need a lot or want it to affect the taste of the dish too much but the additional fiber, vitamins and minerals that your gut will enjoy from this new and exciting variety will make your gut sing!
