Do you only train your strengths?

Each week we share a journal prompt that we ask our clients to reflect on.  Why is journaling so beneficial?

  • It Reduces Stress
  • Improves Immune Function
  • Keeps Memory Sharp
  • Boosts Mood
  • Strengthens Emotional Resilience.

Allow yourself time this week to reflect and journal on the prompt below.

This week we are focusing on the benefits of training your weaknesses?

What are your weaknesses? I am talking physically right now.

  • Write down 3 things that you would like to improve on
  • How about 3 movements or weights you would like to do but can not seem to master.
      • Now create a plan of action starting with your first item to improve on:
        • Block off the time to work on the plan – 2-3 times/week
        • Put this plan into place and focus on it for at least a month.
        • If you conquer this weakness or lift then you’re ready to move on.
      • Create a Plan of Action for Item #2:
        • Follow the same step and Action Plan for Item #1 – A full month or 2 if needed and then move on.

  • What if you don’t know what the action plan should be or you’re not sure how to progress to that end goal?
    • We would love it if you reach out for help!
    • Coach Chad is currently working with over a dozen people to either get out of pain from weaknesses or to progress to different goals!
      • We can move you thru a full:
        • Movement Assessment which tests range of motion and restrictions
        • Strength Assessment which will show us not only strengths but clearly weaknesses both bi-laterally but also unilaterally. (Two arm/single arm and both legs/one leg)
          • You would be blown away to see the holes in your game

  • You can’t seem to PR your back squat. Getting that ring muscle up seems impossible but you can do 7 strict pull ups.  You just can not seem to get that first strict pull-up and you’ve been working on it forever!
    • These are the things that we are helping people to dive into and find success with!
      • If that sounds like you reach out! We would love to help!
