Make the most out of your Trip with these simple tips.

Hitting the Road soon? I know that travel is still quite limited with Covid-19 but we have several clients who are starting to travel so we wanted to make sure to provide our Healthy Road Trip Travel Hacks for all of you! This will help you crush whatever road trip you are going on!

Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!

Pack a big cooler:  

  • Edamame
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Prepped Meals
  • Uncured Deli Meat
  • Tuna Travel Packs
  • Quality Protein Shakes
  • Hard Boiled Eggs and hot sauce
  • Grilled Chicken Strips with Mustard
  • Cut Up Fruit (Apples, Oranges, Bananas all travel well)
  • Cut Up Veggies (Peppers, snap peas, carrots & celery travel well)
  • Iced Coffee (ok so maybe there are no macros to coffee but if we are traveling we need the JOE!!! Or at least I do 🙂

Pack a big tote:  

  • Jerky
  • Sunflower Seeds in the shell
  • Pistachios
  • Meat Protein Bars like Epic
  • Roasted ChickPeas
  • Hippeas
  • Quality Protein Bars (lower sugar, not a ton of ingredients)
  • Dilly Bites
  • Fuel for Fires or something similar

Choose your Go To Places to stop when your in a pinch:

  • Chipotle Chick-Fil-A
  • Jimmy John’s
  • Subway
  • Starbucks
  • Qdoba 
  • Panera 
    • Look ahead at the menu and decide what is the best option for you

If Time or Restaurants are limited make some wise choices at the Truck Stop or Gas Station:

Grab:

  • Fresh Fruit
  • Salads
  • Jerky
  • Cut up Veggies
  • Nuts and Seeds

Hit up the Grocery Store – Many have hot/cold bars

  • On your way to your destination grocery stores are a great way to restock on your way and a little easier on the wallet than gas stations and truck stops!
  • So if you have the option to pop into a grocery store consider doing it!
  • Once you arrive at your destination find a grocery store to stop at to refresh your healthy snack options.
  • If you’re staying in a hotel its always nice to have some healthy snacks near by for those munchie moments.
  • It will also be better on the budget!
