Find a way to move more!  It is so Important!

 

Movement / Exercise has many benefits! 

It will improve your physical health, mental health, and emotional well-being. 

  • Boosts your immune system
  • Fights many chronic diseases (including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes)
  • Increases strength, flexibility, and endurance of daily life
  • Improves sleep patterns
  • Releases hormones that make you feel good

MOVEMENT & EXERCISE IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!

We all have structural or physical limitations. Regardless of what your unique physical makeup might be, there are activities that can work for you. 

We don’t need “workouts” to move.

Walk for 20 minutes each day – Take your dog, kiddos spouse or friend with! Extra credit for helping others move!

  • Ride your bike for 30 minutes each day
  • Climb a flight of stairs 10 times
  • If you are on a lake canoe for 20 minutes.
  • Winter Time- snowshoe or cross country sky for 30 minutes
  • Play a game outside with kiddos or friends – Basketball, soccer, baseball, kickball, volleyball, badminton, tennis there are so many more!

No matter where you’re starting, the more you move, the better your body will function. The human body is the only “machine” that improves with use instead of breaking down!
