Hi there, I’m Alison, coming to you from sunny Colorado Springs!
When I think about my health and wellness journey, I’m grateful to have always loved being active. From playing every sport I possibly could as a kid to finding love for strength training as an adult. Exercise has always been something I look forward to every day. Although exercise and activity have come easy, I struggled in my childhood and into my young adulthood to find a healthy relationship with food.
During college, I started becoming increasingly interested in nutrition and learning how to properly fuel my body. After I graduated with a BA in psychology, I headed back to Massachusetts (where I am from originally) and received my Master’s in Public Health & Nutrition from Tufts University. I learned so much from my studies, but I’d have to say I found the most joy in volunteering for a non-profit called Cooking Matters. My time there was spent helping adults and families learn about nutrition and how to cook healthy meals on their available budget. I LOVED teaching others about nutrition and how to whip up something delicious in their kitchen. Looking back, it’s here that I found my passion! After my graduation in May 2019, I began working as a health coach and have never looked back. I love helping individuals through their unique health journeys and finding what sustainability looks like in their lives. From personal experience, I know this is not always easy to navigate on your own, so I cannot wait to partner up and work together to reach your goals!
