High carb – Low fat
Or high Fat – Low Carb?
In short: NEITHER!
They are both quite comparable
Let me explain : In 32 Controlled Feeding Fat Loss studies conducted on 563 participants here is what was found.
The participants eating a higher carb low fat diet increased energy expenditure and lost more body fat then those eating the high fat lower carb diet.
That being said, the difference was fairly insignificant. On average it resulted in 26 more calories burned daily and 16 g of fat lost daily. Not enough by a landslide by any means.
So which is better?
Whichever you prefer!
We have Clients That prefer for a more carb forward macro percentages and perform super well and obtain fantastic fat loss.
We have other clients who prefer a much more Paleo or fat forward macro breakdown and they perform and see tremendous results as well!
The best plan is one that you can stick with!
