Getting a little deep on this Thursday thoughts. Do you allow pain to be the informant or is it the tattle tale that you tell to be quite?!?

The easy thing to do is to pop an Advil or throw some ice on it! How about roll it out? That should fix it!
That is a very short term solution.
How about we allow Pain to be the indicator that it is. Perhaps we’ve pushed capacity. Maybe we need better range of motion or more stability. Perhaps more strength where an imbalance is.
Listen and allow the signals to help you to adjust training, capacity and focus.
This is something we work one on one with our personal training clients on. So often we feel like being tough means we have to ignore pain. We just have to fight through or push through. That is not the case.
We do not have to allow pain to control us, but we should allow it to make us wiser and train smarter.
