Here is an exercise to help you tackle one the 5 Foundations of Health that you personally need to work on.
- Take a piece of paper and pull up the blog post or the instagram post from Tuesday.
- Now reflect on each of the 5 Factors of Health.
- Choose one that you most need to focus on.
- Write it down.
- Also write down WHY that factor is so important to you.
- Why you are making that priority #1?
- Now I need you to look at your schedule and carve out 30 minutes each day to tackle that foundations
- Physically put it in your calendar everyday! Type it in your google calendar or write it in there! Do not skip this step!
- Now – look up Books, Podcasts, sign up for courses, hire a coach or a counselor,, ask friends for recommendations for Podcasts or things that have helped them
- Spend the next 3 weeks spending the time each day focusing on that foundation.
For example :
If nutrition is the focus, spend the time meal planning or prepping or reading a book on why quality food matters.
If Relationships or connections are your focus, take your :30 minutes each day and spend time either calling a friend or family member or writing them a letter or card.
If movement is your goal, spend you :30 minutes walking outside.
If Mindset is your focus, spend 10 minutes doing some gratitude journaling and 20 listening to a focused podcast.
If sleep is your focus, spend the :30 minutes before bed doing some guided deep breathing or some time meditating and reflecting on your favorite places you’ve been or the places you’re looking forward to going.
