Obviously it’s OK to have a goal of weight loss.
However if we are completely fixated or obsessed on the number each day or each week that goal will become far more elusive.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿.
Once we reach the goal we stop doing the things that got us there….we gain the weight back, the performance tanks, or we feel like poop again.
𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹.
𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀.
𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲.
