From Nothing overhead to Full on Toes to Bar!!! Kristen’s Journey with Coach “Rehab Chad”
“My goal all along was to be able to be back on the bar. My PT told me maybe that was unattainable. I am happy to report that I am back to doing most movements.”
Kristin just did her first Toes to bar in 17 months!!! Her progress is so awesome! We are over the moon!
Why did you come to Chad?
I came to Chad because I had a bicep-tendon (shoulder) injury.
What did you need help with?
I was unable to do anything overhead. No barbell, no bar, my range of motion was severely impacted. I also had constant pain.
Had you tried other things prior to working with Chad?
I had a cortisone shot, MRI, and Physical Therapy. Later (during Chad’s programming) I had an ultrasound-guided cortisone shot and myofascial therapy to address the scar tissue.
What did you learn from working with Chad and completing his program?
I learned a few important things: (1) consistency is key; (2) trust the process, be patient; and (3) celebrate small wins but look at the big picture to see progress!
What improvements have you seen since completing your athletic rehab?
My goal all along was to be able to be back on the bar. My PT told me maybe that was unattainable. I am happy to report that I am back to doing most movements (still working on a few things).
What was your biggest take away or WIN from completing your athletic rehab? I think I’ve answered this in previous questions.
We know we all work hard in the gym and spending extra money on additional training can be a tough pill to swallow. However we believe obviously that the benefits of a short term commitment in both time and money will lead to long payoffs in leading a full active life!
What would you tell someone else in your situation or a similar situation if they were contemplating spending the money?
It’s an investment, but if you want to live pain-free and be physically fit, DO IT. I can’t thank you enough!
