If we have too much sugar in our Blood then our body releases too much insulin
Too much insulin leads to insulin resistance
In women – this can lead to high testosterone & estrogen – If left untreated long term this can lead to PCOS- it can also lead to facial hair, acne and infertility.
In men – the extra testosterone get converted to estrogen – This can lead to midsection weight gain, body hair loss and gynecomastia aka. Man Boobs
How does Blood Sugar Levels affect Cortisol and Adrenaline?
Why? Your body see’s this spike as a stressor. When we are stressed adrenaline and cortisol spike to help us “fight” the situation. This spike in turn leads to increased sugar cravings to bring cortisol down and then starts this vicious cycle.
