Why does it matter?

What is a common theme among our most successful clients?

Their WHY!

It is their strong clarity around their goals, and their actions are specifically driven to support that WHY.

If you know your why, we are here to help you figure out the how. If not, we are here for that too.

So the real question becomes: How do you determine your why if your uncertain as to what it is?

First thing’s first:

Grab a pen and piece of paper. You can use your laptop or phone, but I think this is one of those exercises that benefit from an old-school approach.

I’d like you to start by making a list that answers some, or perhaps all, of these questions:

  • If money wasn’t an issue… how would I care for my health?
  • If money were not an issue what would I do to reach my goals?
  • When in my life did I feel my best?
  • When I felt my best, what was my daily routine like?
    • What was I eating?
    • How was I moving?
  • When did I have the most energy?
  • What are foods that I eat that make me feel energized and focused?
  • What are foods that  I eat that make me feel sluggish and bloated?
  • When in my life did I have the most confidence?
  • What made me feel confident? Was it how I looked, the things I was doing? An athletic endeavor?
  • What is one way that I love to move my body that I enjoy, not because I feel obligated to?
  • What action would I take today if failure was not an option?

Once you’ve identified the answers to these questions let’s outline the baby steps needed to bring you closer to your goals.

I also recommend you reward yourself each time you successfully take another baby step as this will help motivate you to continue.

The key goal here is to start striking items off your list until one lights your fire and reveals the area that serves your why. It will reveal your why in the process.

Although this exercise isn’t guaranteed, when you consider that so many people live their entire lives without discovering their why, while so many have accomplished so much in serving their why, isn’t it worth taking this small journey?

Who knows — perhaps in doing so, you’ll impact hundreds, thousands or even millions of lives in the process.
